Micah
Green is an unsigned artist whose eponymous debut album is slowly gaining
praise and play on AAA radio. ASCAP says of Green, "With advance copies
of his debut record receiving heavy rotation on Los Angeles' KCRW and AOL's
Spinner.com, Micah Green is being embraced by a growing network of modern
rock fans. The record, produced independently by Duncan Sheik, delivers
a sound both original and remarkably familiar, infusing moody atmospheres
with thick pop hooks and intimate lyrics." Micah is 28 years old, and a
law school grad.
Rollingstone.com writes that "An appearance at the CMJ New Music Festival with a new supporting band led to packed shows at Arlene Grocery and CBGB’s Gallery, as well as an introduction to Atlantic Records recording artist Duncan Sheik. Impressed with Micah’s original voice and intelligent songwriting, Duncan signed on to privately record an album that would reflect his organic yet ethereal sound." You can hear three of his MP3s: "Friends in High Places," "We'll Fit Together," and "The Unkindest Artist." |
